ফ্রিল্যানসিং – এ মাসে ১ লক্ষ টাকা !

আজ আপনাদের উৎসাহ বাড়াতে একজন সফল মানুষের গল্প শেয়ার করলাম, আশাকরি ভাল লাগবে... আপনাদের পড়ার সুভিধারতে দুইতি পোস্ট এ শেয়ার করছি। 

ফ্রিল্যানসিং-এ অনেক, অনেক টাকা উপার্জন করা যায়। নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসারদের প্রতি সাজ্জাদের পরামর্শ: কাজের প্রতি সৎ থাকবেন। প্রথম দিকে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করবেন। আর কখনোই চুরি, ধোঁকাবাজি করবেন না। অনেকের এই ধরনের সৎ ইচ্ছা থাকলেও পারছে না। আপনি কিভাবে পারলেন ? আপনি তো ঢাকায়ও থাকতেন না ?

এই প্রশ্ন করা হলে ময়মনসিং জেলার কৃতি ফ্রিল্যানসার সাজ্জাদের সরল উত্তর : “ফ্রিল্যানসিং হলো টাকার গাছ । ঝাঁকি দিলেই পড়ে । কিন্তু ঝাঁকিটা কে দিচ্ছে তার উপর নির্ভর করে । আমি ইংরেজিতে দুর্বল ছিলাম, খুবই দুর্বল ছিলাম। ইংরেজি শিখতে কয়েকটা জায়গায় চেষ্টাও করেছিলাম। কাজ হয় নাই। সব সেকেলে। দুই বছর আগের কথা, ২০১৪ এর মার্চ। ইংলিশ টুডের অনলাইন ইংলিশ কোর্স সম্পর্কে জানতে পাই। ফ্রি রেজিস্ট্রেশন করে কোর্সগুলোর ট্রায়াল দেখি। অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের কোর্সগুলো কঠিন লাগে। কিন্তু ফাউন্ডেশন লেভেলের ট্রায়াল দেখে মনে হয়েছিল, পারব। শেখার প্রয়োজন ছিল আমার, ইচ্ছা ছিল অদম্য। বুক ভরা আশা নিয়ে তাদের কর্তা ব্যক্তির সাথে কথা বলতে চাইলাম। তিনি কবির স্যার। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের IBA-থেকে MBA ডিগ্রীধারী। কিছুক্ষণ কথা বলে ভালো লাগে। IBA-তে কারা চান্স পায়, বুঝলাম। এটাও বুঝলাম, কেন তাদের MBA শেষ না হতেই বড় বড় কোম্পানি চাকরির জন্য ডাকে। শুরুতেই বেতন ৫০ হাজার, কারো আরও বেশি ! BDJobs / Prothom- Alo Jobs -এ বেশির ভাগ ভালো ভালো চাকরির বিজ্ঞাপনে লেখা থাকত IBA(Preferable), মানে IBA-র হলে অগ্রাধিকার পাবে। আমারও অনেক বড় হওয়ার আকাঙ্খা ছিল। কিন্তু অনেকের মতো আমারও পথ দেখানোর কেও ছিল না। কিন্তু বড় হওয়ার ইচ্ছার হাল ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলাম না। কিছুতেই না। উনার সাথে সেদিন আমি অনেকক্ষণ কথা বলেছিলাম যা এখানে বললে সময় লাগবে। শুধু একটা বলি। দুইটা কোর্স একসাথে করব বলে আমি আরো বেশি ছাড় চেয়েছিলাম। স্যার প্রায় রেগে গিয়ে বললেন, ১০ হাজার টাকার স্মার্ট ফোন যেটা তুমি মাত্র ১ বছর ব্যবহার করবে, সেটা কিনতে কার্পন্য করো না। ইংলিশ শিখে তোমার সারাজীবন উপার্জনের সক্ষমতা বাড়াবে, সেখানেই ছাত্র হওয়ার অজুহাত, টাকা না থাকার অজুহাত! সেদিন স্যারের এই কথায় রাগ করলে আমি জানি না আমি কোথায় থাকতাম। তবে উনার এমন কঠিনভাবে বলার মধ্যে অনেক আন্তরিকতা ছিল। উনার নির্দেশ অনুসরণ করতে মন থেকেই সায় দিল। মনে পড়ে, ওই সময় মাত্র ২,৫০০ টাকা দিয়ে উনার নির্দেশে অনলাইনে স্পোকেন ইংলিশের ভিডিও কোর্স শুরু করি। সেই ভিডিওগুলো আমার কাছে এখনো আছে।”
কিন্তু এই ধরনের অনলাইন শিক্ষায় আমরা তো অনেকে অভ্যস্ত না । যদিও ২০১৪ সালের Topica-র রিপোর্ট দেখায়, উন্নত দেশ বাদেও এশিয়ার দেশ যেমন মিয়ানমার, থাইল্যান্ড, মালয়েশিয়া, ভিয়েতনাম, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, নেপাল ও পাকিস্তানে অনলাইন এডুকেশন এখন প্রতিষ্ঠিত। একাডেমিক কোর্স যেমন অনার্স, মাস্টার্স এমনকি পিএইচডি ও এখন অনলাইনে করা যাচ্ছে।
আপনি এখানে কিভাবে শিখতেন, আর আপনি কতটুকু শিখতে পারছেন তা কিভাবে বুঝতেন?
একটু হেসে সাজ্জাদ বলেন, “আপনি কিন্তু আমাকে এই প্রশ্ন করেন নি যে ফ্রিল্যানসিং করাটাই আমার লক্ষ্য ছিল কি না।”
পরে প্রশ্নটা করতাম। ঠিক আছে, বলুন।
“না। ফ্রিল্যানসিং-কে সাইড ইনকাম মনে করতাম। লক্ষ্য ছিল ইংরেজিতে ভালো করা। কিন্তু আমার বেলায় কয়লার খনিতে খুঁজতে খুঁজতে একটা দামী হীরা পাওয়ার মতো হয়ে গেল!”
সাজ্জাদ এখন এই গুপ্তধন পাওয়ার ব্যাপারে যেটা বলবেন, তা পাঠকদের মধ্যে যারা ফ্রিল্যানসিং এ নতুন অথবা এই প্রথম শুনছেন তারা কিছুটা উপলব্ধি করতে পারবেন। কিন্তু যারা আরো অনেক আগে থেকে শুরু করে বিভিন্ন বাধা অতিক্রম করে এখন সফল, তারা সাজ্জাদের এই গুপ্তধন পাওয়ার ব্যাপারে এক বাক্যে বলবেন-‘ঠিক তাই- ঠিক তাই, আমারও তাহলে কম সময় লাগত।’
আসলে ইংরেজি কোথায় দরকার, কতটুকু দরকার ?
“পাঠকদের কাছে একটা প্রশ্ন: সাধারনত একজন প্রোগ্রামার বা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার বেশি ইংরেজি জানে, না একজন ইংলিশ রাইটার বেশি ইংরেজি জানে? উত্তরে বলবেন, ইংলিশ রাইটার। কিন্তু ২০১৫ সালের Payoneer-এর এক জরিপে দেখায়, একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স ইংলিশ রাইটার ঘন্টায় পায় ১৭ ডলার, একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স প্রোগ্রামার ঘন্টায় পায় ২৩ ডলার, আর একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ঘন্টায় পায় ২৬ ডলার। এটা দেখে হয়ত খটকা লাগলো– যারা ইংরেজি কম জানে তারা বেশি উপার্জন করে আর যারা ইংরেজি বেশি জানে তারা কম উপার্জন করে। Payoneer- এর এই রিপোর্টের ৯ নাম্বার পাতায় অন্যান্য পেশার ফ্রিল্যান্সরদের ঘন্টায় কার কত উপার্জন দেখে নিতে পারবেন।”
“এবার আসি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং করতে ইংরেজির দক্ষতা কোথায় দরকার? আপনি ডলার উপার্জন করবেন ইংরেজির Boss হয়ে নয় (ইংরেজির Boss কাকে বলে আমি চাই আপনাদের সবারই উনার সাথে একবার দেখা করার সৌভাগ্য হোক। ইংলিশ টুডের হাজার হাজার স্টুডেন্টদের জন্য কবির স্যার নিজেই ফেইসবুক গ্রুপে পোস্ট দেন। পোস্টগুলো নিয়মিত পড়লেও আপনার অনেক উপকার হবে।) এবার প্রসঙ্গে আসি। বলছিলাম, আপনি ডলার উপার্জন করবেন ইংরেজির Boss হয়ে নয়, বরং আপনার শ্রম দিয়ে, আপনার সময় দিয়ে। শ্রম এবং সময় দুটোই আপনার আছে। এবার দেখুন ডলার কিভাবে আসে। ধরুন, আমেরিকার একজন আপনাকে বলল, আজকে আমার অমুক ব্যবসা থেকে কত টাকা আসল হিসাব রাখবে (একাউন্টিং), কেও বলল আমার ওয়েবসাইটটা তৈরী করে দাও (ওয়েব ডেভেলপমেন্ট), কেও বলল ফেইসবুকে আমার এই পেইজে কাস্টমার কমেন্ট করলে রেপ্লাই দেবে (রেপ্লাই দেওয়া তিনিই শিখিয়ে দেবেন)। এরকম হাজারও কাজ আছে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং-এ। এর একটা না একটা আপনি এখনি পারবেন। কিন্তু ডলার আসছে না কেন? শুধুই কি ইংরেজির দুর্বলতা? না, একদমই না।”

“ইন্টারনেট বলতে আমরা বুঝি ফেইসবুক, ইউটিউব । আর কিছু? কিন্তু আপনার ডলার আসবে এই ইন্টারনেটে কাজ করার মাধ্যমেই। অফিসে যেমন জব করতেন, সেরকমই। এখানে পার্থক্যটা হলো অফিস আপনার ঘরে ! ঘরে বসেই Skype- তে ক্লায়েন্টদের সাথে ইংরেজিতে কথা বলতে হবে (speaking), তাদের কথা শুনে বুঝতে হবে (listening), বাক্যের গঠন, ভোকাবুলারি-র বানান ঠিক রেখে ইংরেজিতে ইমেইল করতে হবে (writing), কেও ইমেইল করলে তা পড়ে (reading) বুঝতে হবে এবং রেপ্লাই দিতে হবে। আমার ক্ষেত্রে এমন হলো যে, ইংরেজিও শিখলাম আবার ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশনের ট্রেনিংও পেয়ে গেলাম! ইংলিশ টুডের অনলাইন কোর্স করতে আমার কোথাও যদি বুঝতে সমস্যা হতো প্রশ্ন করতাম । টিচার রিপ্লাই দিতেন। টিচারের সাথে অনলাইনে চ্যাট করে বুঝে নিতাম–রাত ১১টা পর্যন্ত যখন খুশি তখন। কবির স্যার নিজেও Live ক্লাস নিতেন। গতানুগতিক ক্লাসে যেটা হয়, ঘন্টা বাজলেই ক্লাস শেষ। যদি কিছু না বুঝি চুপ করে থাকি। ভাবি, হয়ত বিষয়টা আসলেই কঠিন, এটা আমাকে দিয়ে হবে না। গতানুগতিক ক্লাসে কাওকে কাওকে দেখতাম, প্রশ্ন করলে ক্লাসের সবাই তাকে বোকা ভাববে এই চক্ষুলজ্জায় চুপ করে থাকত। দোকান থেকে একটা খারাপ জিনিস দিলে আমরা ফেরত দেই, কখনো ঝগড়াও করি। অথচ হাজার হাজার টাকা খরচ করে ক্লাসে শিখতে এসে না বুঝলে প্রশ্ন করতে লজ্জা পাই। অনেকেরই এমন হয়। তবে ইংলিশ টুডের সিস্টেমই আমাদের এই মানসিকতা পাল্টাতে সাহায্য করেছিল। না বুঝলে প্রশ্ন করতাম, আমি যে প্রশ্ন করছি তা আমি আর টিচারই জানতাম। অন্য কেও দেখত না। এখানে লার্নিং সিস্টেম একজন টিচাররের কাছে প্রাইভেট পড়ার মতো ছিল।”

“Live ক্লাস করতাম, ভিডিও আর লেকচার শিট ডাউনলোড করতাম। কিছু না বুঝলেই, স্যার ওটা বুঝি নাই বলে Live Help-এ কমেন্ট করতাম।। আমাকে বুঝিয়ে রিপ্লাই দিতেন। বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রে যা হয়, কোর্স করেও স্পোকেন ইংলিশে আমরা দুর্বল থেকে যাই কারণ কোর্স করাকালীন যতটুকু বলতে পারি, কোর্স শেষ হলে তা ধীরে ধীরে ভুলে যেতে থাকি। Fluency (সাবলীলতা) কমতে থাকে। কি হলো আমি না স্পোকেন শিখলাম? এখন বলতে পারছি না কেন? নিজের ভাষা ছাড়া অন্য যেকোনো ভাষার ক্ষেত্রে এমনি হয়। চর্চা না থাকলে শিখেও ভুলে যাবেন। কিন্তু আমরা ইংলিশ টুডের ভিডিও থেকে বার বার প্র্যাকটিস করতাম। অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের প্রত্যেকটা লাইভ ক্লাসের লেসন সংরক্ষিত থাকত। ক্লাস শেষ হয়ে গেলেও সেগুলো দেখতে পারতাম। যদি কোনো কিছু ভুলেও যেতাম, পরে প্রশ্ন করলেই রেপ্লাই পেতাম। দুর্বলদের জন্য স্যার ফরমেট ধরে ধরে স্পোকেন শেখাতেন। একেবারে বাচ্চাদের যেমন হাঁটা শেখায়। পাঠক, শুরুতেই বলেছিলাম না সেই ভিডিওগুলো আমার কাছে এখনো আছে? কেন রেখেছি, হয়ত এখন বুঝতে পারছেন। দুর্বল ছিলাম, তাই ওই ভিডিওগুলো থেকে বার বার প্র্যাকটিস করতাম। এখন বুঝি আমার আগের ব্যর্থতা আমার অপারগতা ছিল না। যাদের কাছে শিখতে যেতাম, তাদেরও না। ব্যর্থতা সিস্টেমের। মায়ের কাছে দুই মাসের শর্ট কোর্স করে বাংলা শিখি নাই। মায়ের কাছে দীর্ঘদিন ছিলাম-শুনতাম, বুঝতাম, বলতে ভুল করতাম। শিখে নিয়ে আবারও বলতাম। ইংলিশ টুডেতেও এভাবেই শিখতাম।”

“৩ মাসের মধ্যেই আমি নিজেকে নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করতে থাকি। আমি যেমন চেয়েছিলাম! আমি বুঝতে পারছিলাম, আমি ইংরেজিও শিখছি আবার আমার মধ্যে ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশন করার দক্ষতা তৈরী হচ্ছে। পাঠক, ডলার উপার্জনের জন্য যে ধরনের কমিউনিকেশনের কথা আমি আগে বললাম । ইন্টারনেটে ইংরেজিতে কমিউনিকেশন করা আমার অভ্যাসে পরিনত হয়ে গেল। English Today (www.englishtoday.co)– র এই ওয়েবসাইট হয়ে গেল আমার ফেইসবুক।”

“আমার ধৈর্যের কারনে ৩ মাস পরেই কবির স্যারের খুব কাছাকাছি যেতে পেরেছিলাম। তিনি অনলাইনে অনেক ব্যস্ত থাকেন। একদিন সময় দিলেন। সেদিনই জানলাম, তিনি শুধু ইংরেজিতেই পারদর্শী নন, তিনি নিজেই একজন সফটওয়্যার আর্কিটেক্ট। তিনি আমার মধ্যে শেখার ক্ষুদা দেখতে পেরেছিলেন। এ পর্যন্ত কতটুকু অগ্রসর হয়েছি, তা আগেই জানতেন। ফাউন্ডেশন লেভেল শেষ করে অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের কোর্স করছিলাম তখন। ‘আমি আরো জানতে চাই’- এই কথা আমার নিজে থেকে বলতে হয়নি- আমার চোখ দেখেই বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন। তিনি আমাকে বেশি নছীয়ত দেননি। শুধু একটা কথা বলে শুরু করলেন: “You speak what you read (আপনি যা পড়েন সেভাবেই কথা বলেন)।” এর জন্য কি করতে হবে, কিভাবে করতে হবে এবং কতক্ষণ করতে হবে বলে দিলেন। পাঠক, আজ আমি দেশের একটা সিস্টেমের কথা বলছি, আমি ইংলিশ টুডের কথা বলছি যে প্রতিষ্ঠান জীবন বদলে দেয়! ৬ বছর সময় দিয়ে আমি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং পড়ি নাই। কিন্তু ইংলিশ শিখে ২ বছরের মধ্যেই আমি এখন নেটওয়ার্ক মার্কেটিয়ার। আমার উপার্জন টাকায় না, আমার উপার্জন ডলারে। স্যার বলতেন, ইংলিশ শিখলে যে কোনো কিছু হওয়া যায়! স্যারের হাতে গড়া অল্প সময়ে সফল হওয়া আমি অনেকের একজন মাত্র। আমি স্যারের থেকে ভাষার দক্ষতা শিখেছি, কমিউনিকেশনের দক্ষতা শিখেছি। আপনারা আমার বাংলা লেখা পড়ছেন। হয়ত ভাবছেন, আমি এমনি লিখতাম। দুই বছর আগের আমার কোনো লেখা পড়লে আপনি ৩০ সেকেন্ডও এই পেইজ এ থাকতেন না। ফ্রিল্যান্স আয়ে আমরা এশিয়ার অন্যান্য দেশ থেকে যে কারণে পিছিয়ে, কবির স্যার সেই জায়গাটা ঠিক করছেন। দেশে এত বেকার! আমরা একজন আরেকজনকে আঙ্গুল দিয়ে দেখাই। কি করতে হবে বুঝি না। দেশের মানুষের কাজ দরকার, আর দেশের বাইরে থেকে যারা কাজ দেবে তাদের মানুষ দরকার- যোগ্য মানুষ। ইন্টারনেট মানে শুধু ফেইসবুক না। শুধু প্রযুক্তির কাছে পণ্য হয়ে যাওয়া না । কমেন্ট করা আর পোস্ট শেয়ার দেওয়া না। ইন্টারনেট মানে শক্তি। ইন্টারনেট মানে ডলারে উপার্জন। ইন্টারনেট মানে আমার-আপনার সচ্ছলতা। ইন্টারনেট মানে দেশকে বিশ্বের সাথে এক কাতারে রাখা।”
ফ্রিল্যানসিং-এ আসলে একজন কত টাকা পর্যন্ত আয় করতে পারে ?
এই প্রশ্নে সাজ্জাদের সোজা উত্তর, “প্রস্তুত না হয়ে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং শুরু করলে ধাক্কা খাবেন। হয় আর উঠতে পারবেন না, না হয় এ ঘাটের ও ঘাটের জল খেয়ে অনেক সময় লাগবে, না হয় ‘এই মাত্র ৫ মিনিট কাজ করে ৫০০ টাকা আয়’- ফেইসবুকে এই ধরনের ‘ফ্রিল্যানচোর’ হয়ে থাকতে হবে। ২০১০ সালেরBASIS(Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services)-এর এক হিসেবে বাংলাদেশে ১ লক্ষ ফ্রিল্যানসার কাজ করত। তারা দৈনিক ১ কোটি টাকা অর্থাৎ একজন আয় করত ১০০ টাকা, মাসে ৩,০০০ টাকা। মাসিক গড় আয়ের এই করুণ দশা কেন, তা পাঠক হয়তো বুঝতে পারছেন। ইংরেজির দূর্বলতা সাথে ইংরেজিতে ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশন করার অভ্যাস না থাকা। আমার সমান আয় হলে এই ১ লক্ষ ফ্রিল্যানসার প্রতিদিন ২০ কোটি টাকা আনতে পারত তখন। আমি জানি, অনেকে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং-এ আসছেন চাকরি না পেয়ে। বছরের পর বছর পরিশ্রম করলেন, লক্ষ লক্ষ টাকাও খরচ করলেন ডিগ্রীর জন্য। এখন ডিগ্রী চাকরি দিতে পারছেনা। দেশে ডিগ্রী বাড়ছে কিন্তু দক্ষতা বাড়ছে না। যেখানে দক্ষতা আছে সেখানে কাজও আছে। আপনার দক্ষতা থাকলে এখন টাকা না, ডলার আছে। কত ডলার চান? সেজন্য তৈরি হতে হবে, সময় দিতে হবে।”
আপনার সমান আয়ের কথা বাদই দেই । এখানে আরেক ফ্রিল্যানসার ফয়সালের থেকেও জানার আছে বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য । অন্তত তার মতো হলেও এই এক লক্ষ্ বাংলাদেশী ফ্রিল্যানসারের একেক জনের প্রতি মাসে ২০ হাজার টাকা আয় হতো তখন।

যার যার, তার তার – আপনি যা, তাই পাবেন !

সাজ্জাদ বলেন “এটা চরম সত্য এই জগতে। ফ্রিল্যানন্সিং মার্কেটের বিশালতা বোঝা কঠিন। তথ্য -গরিব মানুষের যা হয় আর কি! Payoneer-এর ঐ জরিপেই দেখায়, ২০১৫ সালে এক এক ফ্রিল্যানসার ঘন্টায় পায় ২১ ডলার, মানে ১,৬৮০টাকা। কোথায় আছেন? প্রচুর টাকা আছে, দেখিয়ে দিলাম। কিন্তু আপনার উপার্জন কি আমি করে দেব? Payoneer-এর এই রিপোর্টটি ডাউনলোড করে রাখবেন। কাজে দেবে।”
“ইন্টারনেটে ইংরেজিতে কমিউনিকেশনের দুর্বলতা থেকে বের হয়ে আসতে হবে। আমিও এই দলেই ছিলাম। কিন্তু এখন উপার্জনের জন্যই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করি। বিদেশী ক্লায়েন্টদের সাথে ডিল করি। প্রতিদিন অনলাইনে ইংরেজি পত্রিকা পড়ি। ১০ মার্চে রয়টার’স এর একটা নিউজ পড়ছিলাম। ঘটনাটা সবাই জানেন। নিচে পাঠকদের জন্য সেটা অনুবাদ করে দিলাম। ইংরেজি নিউজের লিংকও আছে। বাংলার সাথে ইংরেজিটাও দেখে নেবেন। ইংরেজিটা পড়ে বোঝার জন্য বলছি না। একটু দেখবেন। আর আমার বাংলা অনুবাদটা পড়বেন। আমি কেন আমার যোগ্যতা অনুযায়ী উপার্জন করতে পারছি, তা বুঝতে পারবেন। কবির স্যারই এমন করে বলা শিখিয়েছেন। যদি বলতাম, স্যার আপনার ক্রেডিট। উত্তরে একটাই কথা : তোমার যোগ্যতা। এখন আমিও গর্ব করে বলি, আমার যোগ্যতা।”
আপনার অনুবাদটি আমরা পড়ব। তার আগে আরেক ফ্রিল্যানসার ফয়সালের থেকে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য জানি। তিনি এখনই মাসে প্রায় ২০,০০০ টাকা উপার্জন করেন। নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসাররা কি ধরনের সমস্যায় পড়ে, এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন:“৩ টি সমস্যা খুবই প্রকট।”

ঝামেলা কি আরো বাড়লো? একজন বলে ১ টা, আরেকজন বলে ৩ টা ! 
“হ্যাঁ, এই ৩ সমস্যা ঐ ১ সমস্যা ঘিরেই:
১. তারা ক্লায়েন্টদের ইংরেজিতে লেখা ইমেল পড়তে পারে না;
২. ফ্রিল্যানসিং প্লাটফর্মগুলোতে একাউন্ট খোলার জন্য ঠিক মতো তথ্য দিতে পারে না;
৩. ডলার আনার মাধ্যম যেমন পেপল, নেটেলার, পেওনিআর ইত্যাদি একাউন্টে লেনদেন সংক্রান্ত কোনো ঝামেলা হলে তারা ইমেইল পাঠায়। সেই ইমেইল বুঝতে পারে না। একাউন্ট লক হয়ে যায়, সাসপেন্ড হয় ।”
“তখন উপায় না দেখে বেচারা নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসার ফেইসবুকের গ্রুপে পোস্ট দেয়। আমার একাউন্ট লক, কি করব? ডিসকভারি চ্যানেলের ডকুমেন্টারীর মতো- বন্য গরুর পাল নদী পার হচ্ছে। পানিতে কুমির। ডুব দিয়ে আছে। টার্গেট একটা বাচ্চা অথবা একটা দুর্বল গরু। অনভিজ্ঞ এই নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসার ফেইসবুকের গ্রুপে ওৎ পেতে থাকা কুমিরের খপ্পরে পড়ে। কুমির বলে, আমি এক্সপার্ট। দুই দিনেই সমাধান! ৫,০০০ টাকা লাগবে, বিকাশ করেন। ওহ! একাউন্ট খুলে যাবে, আবার ডলার আসবে! প্রতিদিন ‘এক’ ডলার ! আশাবাদী সেই বেচারার চোখ চকচকে হয়ে উঠে।”
“কিন্তু বিকাশ করার পর দেখে ওই নাম্বার বন্ধ। বার বার ফোন দেয়। শতবার। কিন্তু ফোন সেদিন একদমই বন্ধ। পরের দিন খুললেও রিসিভ করে না। মেসেজ। আকুতি। আপনার দেশের মানুষের সাথে এমন বেইমানি করবেন না। টাকা ফেরত দেন। না হলে আমার জীবনটা শেষ হয়ে যাবে! কিভাবে দেবে? কুমিরের পেটে তো সেটা হজম হয়ে গেছে!”
“তারপর সে ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে গ্রুপে আবার পোস্ট দেয়। তবে এবার অন্য কারণে। বলে, অমুক নাম্বারের অমুক বাটপারের সাথে কেও কোনো লেনদেন করবেন না। সে বুঝে না, কেন সে প্রতারিত হলো। ডলার আয়ের একাউন্টও লক। কোথায় যাবে সে? আরেক কুমিরের খপ্পরে পড়বে? এই কুমির আছে, অনেক আছে। নানাভাবে আছে আর বংশ বিস্তার করছে।”
ফয়সালের থেকে আরো একটি বিষয় জানার ছিল আমাদের। তারা যে ডলার আয় করে, তা তারা হাতে পায় কিভাবে? এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন , “পেপলে।” সবার জন্য একটু বিস্তারিত বলুন, পেপল থেকে ভাঙান কিভাবে? “ক্লায়েন্টরা আমাকে ডলার পাঠায়। আর সেই ডলার বিক্রি করে আমি টাকা নেই।” কোথায় বিক্রি করেন? “এখন আমার জন্য অনেক সহজ হয়েছে, যদিও প্রতারণার ফাঁদ সর্বত্র। ডলার লেনদেনে যারা ভুক্তভোগী, তারা এই ধরনের প্রতারণার কথা জানেন। ফেইসবুকে এমন অনেক বড় বড় গ্রুপ আছে যেখানে অ্যাডমিনরাই একটা প্রতারনার সিন্ডিকেট। শত শত মেম্বাররা তো নিয়মিত প্রতারণা করেই যাচ্ছে। আমাদের কোনো বিসব্স্ত, নির্ভর যোগ্য প্লাটফরম তৈরী হয় নাই। তাই প্রতারণাও বাড়ছে, প্রতারণাই পেশা হয়ে যাচ্ছে। আর যে মানুষটি দেশে ডলার আনতে পারত সে থেমে যাচ্ছে। এমনও হয়, সেও কুমির হয়ে যাচ্ছে। শুধু শুধু কেন কষ্ট করতে যাবে?”

ফ্রিল্যানসিং – এ মাসে ১ লক্ষ টাকা !

আজ আপনাদের উৎসাহ বাড়াতে একজন সফল মানুষের গল্প শেয়ার করলাম, আশাকরি ভাল লাগবে... আপনাদের পড়ার সুভিধারতে দুইতি পোস্ট এ শেয়ার করছি। 

ফ্রিল্যানসিং-এ অনেক, অনেক টাকা উপার্জন করা যায়। নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসারদের প্রতি সাজ্জাদের পরামর্শ: কাজের প্রতি সৎ থাকবেন। প্রথম দিকে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করবেন। আর কখনোই চুরি, ধোঁকাবাজি করবেন না। অনেকের এই ধরনের সৎ ইচ্ছা থাকলেও পারছে না। আপনি কিভাবে পারলেন ? আপনি তো ঢাকায়ও থাকতেন না ?

এই প্রশ্ন করা হলে ময়মনসিং জেলার কৃতি ফ্রিল্যানসার সাজ্জাদের সরল উত্তর : “ফ্রিল্যানসিং হলো টাকার গাছ । ঝাঁকি দিলেই পড়ে । কিন্তু ঝাঁকিটা কে দিচ্ছে তার উপর নির্ভর করে । আমি ইংরেজিতে দুর্বল ছিলাম, খুবই দুর্বল ছিলাম। ইংরেজি শিখতে কয়েকটা জায়গায় চেষ্টাও করেছিলাম। কাজ হয় নাই। সব সেকেলে। দুই বছর আগের কথা, ২০১৪ এর মার্চ। ইংলিশ টুডের অনলাইন ইংলিশ কোর্স সম্পর্কে জানতে পাই। ফ্রি রেজিস্ট্রেশন করে কোর্সগুলোর ট্রায়াল দেখি। অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের কোর্সগুলো কঠিন লাগে। কিন্তু ফাউন্ডেশন লেভেলের ট্রায়াল দেখে মনে হয়েছিল, পারব। শেখার প্রয়োজন ছিল আমার, ইচ্ছা ছিল অদম্য। বুক ভরা আশা নিয়ে তাদের কর্তা ব্যক্তির সাথে কথা বলতে চাইলাম। তিনি কবির স্যার। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের IBA-থেকে MBA ডিগ্রীধারী। কিছুক্ষণ কথা বলে ভালো লাগে। IBA-তে কারা চান্স পায়, বুঝলাম। এটাও বুঝলাম, কেন তাদের MBA শেষ না হতেই বড় বড় কোম্পানি চাকরির জন্য ডাকে। শুরুতেই বেতন ৫০ হাজার, কারো আরও বেশি ! BDJobs / Prothom- Alo Jobs -এ বেশির ভাগ ভালো ভালো চাকরির বিজ্ঞাপনে লেখা থাকত IBA(Preferable), মানে IBA-র হলে অগ্রাধিকার পাবে। আমারও অনেক বড় হওয়ার আকাঙ্খা ছিল। কিন্তু অনেকের মতো আমারও পথ দেখানোর কেও ছিল না। কিন্তু বড় হওয়ার ইচ্ছার হাল ছেড়ে দিয়েছিলাম না। কিছুতেই না। উনার সাথে সেদিন আমি অনেকক্ষণ কথা বলেছিলাম যা এখানে বললে সময় লাগবে। শুধু একটা বলি। দুইটা কোর্স একসাথে করব বলে আমি আরো বেশি ছাড় চেয়েছিলাম। স্যার প্রায় রেগে গিয়ে বললেন, ১০ হাজার টাকার স্মার্ট ফোন যেটা তুমি মাত্র ১ বছর ব্যবহার করবে, সেটা কিনতে কার্পন্য করো না। ইংলিশ শিখে তোমার সারাজীবন উপার্জনের সক্ষমতা বাড়াবে, সেখানেই ছাত্র হওয়ার অজুহাত, টাকা না থাকার অজুহাত! সেদিন স্যারের এই কথায় রাগ করলে আমি জানি না আমি কোথায় থাকতাম। তবে উনার এমন কঠিনভাবে বলার মধ্যে অনেক আন্তরিকতা ছিল। উনার নির্দেশ অনুসরণ করতে মন থেকেই সায় দিল। মনে পড়ে, ওই সময় মাত্র ২,৫০০ টাকা দিয়ে উনার নির্দেশে অনলাইনে স্পোকেন ইংলিশের ভিডিও কোর্স শুরু করি। সেই ভিডিওগুলো আমার কাছে এখনো আছে।”
কিন্তু এই ধরনের অনলাইন শিক্ষায় আমরা তো অনেকে অভ্যস্ত না । যদিও ২০১৪ সালের Topica-র রিপোর্ট দেখায়, উন্নত দেশ বাদেও এশিয়ার দেশ যেমন মিয়ানমার, থাইল্যান্ড, মালয়েশিয়া, ভিয়েতনাম, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, নেপাল ও পাকিস্তানে অনলাইন এডুকেশন এখন প্রতিষ্ঠিত। একাডেমিক কোর্স যেমন অনার্স, মাস্টার্স এমনকি পিএইচডি ও এখন অনলাইনে করা যাচ্ছে।
আপনি এখানে কিভাবে শিখতেন, আর আপনি কতটুকু শিখতে পারছেন তা কিভাবে বুঝতেন?
একটু হেসে সাজ্জাদ বলেন, “আপনি কিন্তু আমাকে এই প্রশ্ন করেন নি যে ফ্রিল্যানসিং করাটাই আমার লক্ষ্য ছিল কি না।”
পরে প্রশ্নটা করতাম। ঠিক আছে, বলুন।
“না। ফ্রিল্যানসিং-কে সাইড ইনকাম মনে করতাম। লক্ষ্য ছিল ইংরেজিতে ভালো করা। কিন্তু আমার বেলায় কয়লার খনিতে খুঁজতে খুঁজতে একটা দামী হীরা পাওয়ার মতো হয়ে গেল!”
সাজ্জাদ এখন এই গুপ্তধন পাওয়ার ব্যাপারে যেটা বলবেন, তা পাঠকদের মধ্যে যারা ফ্রিল্যানসিং এ নতুন অথবা এই প্রথম শুনছেন তারা কিছুটা উপলব্ধি করতে পারবেন। কিন্তু যারা আরো অনেক আগে থেকে শুরু করে বিভিন্ন বাধা অতিক্রম করে এখন সফল, তারা সাজ্জাদের এই গুপ্তধন পাওয়ার ব্যাপারে এক বাক্যে বলবেন-‘ঠিক তাই- ঠিক তাই, আমারও তাহলে কম সময় লাগত।’
আসলে ইংরেজি কোথায় দরকার, কতটুকু দরকার ?
“পাঠকদের কাছে একটা প্রশ্ন: সাধারনত একজন প্রোগ্রামার বা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার বেশি ইংরেজি জানে, না একজন ইংলিশ রাইটার বেশি ইংরেজি জানে? উত্তরে বলবেন, ইংলিশ রাইটার। কিন্তু ২০১৫ সালের Payoneer-এর এক জরিপে দেখায়, একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স ইংলিশ রাইটার ঘন্টায় পায় ১৭ ডলার, একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স প্রোগ্রামার ঘন্টায় পায় ২৩ ডলার, আর একজন ফ্রিল্যান্স ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ঘন্টায় পায় ২৬ ডলার। এটা দেখে হয়ত খটকা লাগলো– যারা ইংরেজি কম জানে তারা বেশি উপার্জন করে আর যারা ইংরেজি বেশি জানে তারা কম উপার্জন করে। Payoneer- এর এই রিপোর্টের ৯ নাম্বার পাতায় অন্যান্য পেশার ফ্রিল্যান্সরদের ঘন্টায় কার কত উপার্জন দেখে নিতে পারবেন।”
“এবার আসি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং করতে ইংরেজির দক্ষতা কোথায় দরকার? আপনি ডলার উপার্জন করবেন ইংরেজির Boss হয়ে নয় (ইংরেজির Boss কাকে বলে আমি চাই আপনাদের সবারই উনার সাথে একবার দেখা করার সৌভাগ্য হোক। ইংলিশ টুডের হাজার হাজার স্টুডেন্টদের জন্য কবির স্যার নিজেই ফেইসবুক গ্রুপে পোস্ট দেন। পোস্টগুলো নিয়মিত পড়লেও আপনার অনেক উপকার হবে।) এবার প্রসঙ্গে আসি। বলছিলাম, আপনি ডলার উপার্জন করবেন ইংরেজির Boss হয়ে নয়, বরং আপনার শ্রম দিয়ে, আপনার সময় দিয়ে। শ্রম এবং সময় দুটোই আপনার আছে। এবার দেখুন ডলার কিভাবে আসে। ধরুন, আমেরিকার একজন আপনাকে বলল, আজকে আমার অমুক ব্যবসা থেকে কত টাকা আসল হিসাব রাখবে (একাউন্টিং), কেও বলল আমার ওয়েবসাইটটা তৈরী করে দাও (ওয়েব ডেভেলপমেন্ট), কেও বলল ফেইসবুকে আমার এই পেইজে কাস্টমার কমেন্ট করলে রেপ্লাই দেবে (রেপ্লাই দেওয়া তিনিই শিখিয়ে দেবেন)। এরকম হাজারও কাজ আছে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং-এ। এর একটা না একটা আপনি এখনি পারবেন। কিন্তু ডলার আসছে না কেন? শুধুই কি ইংরেজির দুর্বলতা? না, একদমই না।”

“ইন্টারনেট বলতে আমরা বুঝি ফেইসবুক, ইউটিউব । আর কিছু? কিন্তু আপনার ডলার আসবে এই ইন্টারনেটে কাজ করার মাধ্যমেই। অফিসে যেমন জব করতেন, সেরকমই। এখানে পার্থক্যটা হলো অফিস আপনার ঘরে ! ঘরে বসেই Skype- তে ক্লায়েন্টদের সাথে ইংরেজিতে কথা বলতে হবে (speaking), তাদের কথা শুনে বুঝতে হবে (listening), বাক্যের গঠন, ভোকাবুলারি-র বানান ঠিক রেখে ইংরেজিতে ইমেইল করতে হবে (writing), কেও ইমেইল করলে তা পড়ে (reading) বুঝতে হবে এবং রেপ্লাই দিতে হবে। আমার ক্ষেত্রে এমন হলো যে, ইংরেজিও শিখলাম আবার ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশনের ট্রেনিংও পেয়ে গেলাম! ইংলিশ টুডের অনলাইন কোর্স করতে আমার কোথাও যদি বুঝতে সমস্যা হতো প্রশ্ন করতাম । টিচার রিপ্লাই দিতেন। টিচারের সাথে অনলাইনে চ্যাট করে বুঝে নিতাম–রাত ১১টা পর্যন্ত যখন খুশি তখন। কবির স্যার নিজেও Live ক্লাস নিতেন। গতানুগতিক ক্লাসে যেটা হয়, ঘন্টা বাজলেই ক্লাস শেষ। যদি কিছু না বুঝি চুপ করে থাকি। ভাবি, হয়ত বিষয়টা আসলেই কঠিন, এটা আমাকে দিয়ে হবে না। গতানুগতিক ক্লাসে কাওকে কাওকে দেখতাম, প্রশ্ন করলে ক্লাসের সবাই তাকে বোকা ভাববে এই চক্ষুলজ্জায় চুপ করে থাকত। দোকান থেকে একটা খারাপ জিনিস দিলে আমরা ফেরত দেই, কখনো ঝগড়াও করি। অথচ হাজার হাজার টাকা খরচ করে ক্লাসে শিখতে এসে না বুঝলে প্রশ্ন করতে লজ্জা পাই। অনেকেরই এমন হয়। তবে ইংলিশ টুডের সিস্টেমই আমাদের এই মানসিকতা পাল্টাতে সাহায্য করেছিল। না বুঝলে প্রশ্ন করতাম, আমি যে প্রশ্ন করছি তা আমি আর টিচারই জানতাম। অন্য কেও দেখত না। এখানে লার্নিং সিস্টেম একজন টিচাররের কাছে প্রাইভেট পড়ার মতো ছিল।”

“Live ক্লাস করতাম, ভিডিও আর লেকচার শিট ডাউনলোড করতাম। কিছু না বুঝলেই, স্যার ওটা বুঝি নাই বলে Live Help-এ কমেন্ট করতাম।। আমাকে বুঝিয়ে রিপ্লাই দিতেন। বেশির ভাগ ক্ষেত্রে যা হয়, কোর্স করেও স্পোকেন ইংলিশে আমরা দুর্বল থেকে যাই কারণ কোর্স করাকালীন যতটুকু বলতে পারি, কোর্স শেষ হলে তা ধীরে ধীরে ভুলে যেতে থাকি। Fluency (সাবলীলতা) কমতে থাকে। কি হলো আমি না স্পোকেন শিখলাম? এখন বলতে পারছি না কেন? নিজের ভাষা ছাড়া অন্য যেকোনো ভাষার ক্ষেত্রে এমনি হয়। চর্চা না থাকলে শিখেও ভুলে যাবেন। কিন্তু আমরা ইংলিশ টুডের ভিডিও থেকে বার বার প্র্যাকটিস করতাম। অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের প্রত্যেকটা লাইভ ক্লাসের লেসন সংরক্ষিত থাকত। ক্লাস শেষ হয়ে গেলেও সেগুলো দেখতে পারতাম। যদি কোনো কিছু ভুলেও যেতাম, পরে প্রশ্ন করলেই রেপ্লাই পেতাম। দুর্বলদের জন্য স্যার ফরমেট ধরে ধরে স্পোকেন শেখাতেন। একেবারে বাচ্চাদের যেমন হাঁটা শেখায়। পাঠক, শুরুতেই বলেছিলাম না সেই ভিডিওগুলো আমার কাছে এখনো আছে? কেন রেখেছি, হয়ত এখন বুঝতে পারছেন। দুর্বল ছিলাম, তাই ওই ভিডিওগুলো থেকে বার বার প্র্যাকটিস করতাম। এখন বুঝি আমার আগের ব্যর্থতা আমার অপারগতা ছিল না। যাদের কাছে শিখতে যেতাম, তাদেরও না। ব্যর্থতা সিস্টেমের। মায়ের কাছে দুই মাসের শর্ট কোর্স করে বাংলা শিখি নাই। মায়ের কাছে দীর্ঘদিন ছিলাম-শুনতাম, বুঝতাম, বলতে ভুল করতাম। শিখে নিয়ে আবারও বলতাম। ইংলিশ টুডেতেও এভাবেই শিখতাম।”

“৩ মাসের মধ্যেই আমি নিজেকে নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করতে থাকি। আমি যেমন চেয়েছিলাম! আমি বুঝতে পারছিলাম, আমি ইংরেজিও শিখছি আবার আমার মধ্যে ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশন করার দক্ষতা তৈরী হচ্ছে। পাঠক, ডলার উপার্জনের জন্য যে ধরনের কমিউনিকেশনের কথা আমি আগে বললাম । ইন্টারনেটে ইংরেজিতে কমিউনিকেশন করা আমার অভ্যাসে পরিনত হয়ে গেল। English Today (www.englishtoday.co)– র এই ওয়েবসাইট হয়ে গেল আমার ফেইসবুক।”

“আমার ধৈর্যের কারনে ৩ মাস পরেই কবির স্যারের খুব কাছাকাছি যেতে পেরেছিলাম। তিনি অনলাইনে অনেক ব্যস্ত থাকেন। একদিন সময় দিলেন। সেদিনই জানলাম, তিনি শুধু ইংরেজিতেই পারদর্শী নন, তিনি নিজেই একজন সফটওয়্যার আর্কিটেক্ট। তিনি আমার মধ্যে শেখার ক্ষুদা দেখতে পেরেছিলেন। এ পর্যন্ত কতটুকু অগ্রসর হয়েছি, তা আগেই জানতেন। ফাউন্ডেশন লেভেল শেষ করে অ্যাডভান্সড লেভেলের কোর্স করছিলাম তখন। ‘আমি আরো জানতে চাই’- এই কথা আমার নিজে থেকে বলতে হয়নি- আমার চোখ দেখেই বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন। তিনি আমাকে বেশি নছীয়ত দেননি। শুধু একটা কথা বলে শুরু করলেন: “You speak what you read (আপনি যা পড়েন সেভাবেই কথা বলেন)।” এর জন্য কি করতে হবে, কিভাবে করতে হবে এবং কতক্ষণ করতে হবে বলে দিলেন। পাঠক, আজ আমি দেশের একটা সিস্টেমের কথা বলছি, আমি ইংলিশ টুডের কথা বলছি যে প্রতিষ্ঠান জীবন বদলে দেয়! ৬ বছর সময় দিয়ে আমি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং পড়ি নাই। কিন্তু ইংলিশ শিখে ২ বছরের মধ্যেই আমি এখন নেটওয়ার্ক মার্কেটিয়ার। আমার উপার্জন টাকায় না, আমার উপার্জন ডলারে। স্যার বলতেন, ইংলিশ শিখলে যে কোনো কিছু হওয়া যায়! স্যারের হাতে গড়া অল্প সময়ে সফল হওয়া আমি অনেকের একজন মাত্র। আমি স্যারের থেকে ভাষার দক্ষতা শিখেছি, কমিউনিকেশনের দক্ষতা শিখেছি। আপনারা আমার বাংলা লেখা পড়ছেন। হয়ত ভাবছেন, আমি এমনি লিখতাম। দুই বছর আগের আমার কোনো লেখা পড়লে আপনি ৩০ সেকেন্ডও এই পেইজ এ থাকতেন না। ফ্রিল্যান্স আয়ে আমরা এশিয়ার অন্যান্য দেশ থেকে যে কারণে পিছিয়ে, কবির স্যার সেই জায়গাটা ঠিক করছেন। দেশে এত বেকার! আমরা একজন আরেকজনকে আঙ্গুল দিয়ে দেখাই। কি করতে হবে বুঝি না। দেশের মানুষের কাজ দরকার, আর দেশের বাইরে থেকে যারা কাজ দেবে তাদের মানুষ দরকার- যোগ্য মানুষ। ইন্টারনেট মানে শুধু ফেইসবুক না। শুধু প্রযুক্তির কাছে পণ্য হয়ে যাওয়া না । কমেন্ট করা আর পোস্ট শেয়ার দেওয়া না। ইন্টারনেট মানে শক্তি। ইন্টারনেট মানে ডলারে উপার্জন। ইন্টারনেট মানে আমার-আপনার সচ্ছলতা। ইন্টারনেট মানে দেশকে বিশ্বের সাথে এক কাতারে রাখা।”
ফ্রিল্যানসিং-এ আসলে একজন কত টাকা পর্যন্ত আয় করতে পারে ?
এই প্রশ্নে সাজ্জাদের সোজা উত্তর, “প্রস্তুত না হয়ে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং শুরু করলে ধাক্কা খাবেন। হয় আর উঠতে পারবেন না, না হয় এ ঘাটের ও ঘাটের জল খেয়ে অনেক সময় লাগবে, না হয় ‘এই মাত্র ৫ মিনিট কাজ করে ৫০০ টাকা আয়’- ফেইসবুকে এই ধরনের ‘ফ্রিল্যানচোর’ হয়ে থাকতে হবে। ২০১০ সালেরBASIS(Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services)-এর এক হিসেবে বাংলাদেশে ১ লক্ষ ফ্রিল্যানসার কাজ করত। তারা দৈনিক ১ কোটি টাকা অর্থাৎ একজন আয় করত ১০০ টাকা, মাসে ৩,০০০ টাকা। মাসিক গড় আয়ের এই করুণ দশা কেন, তা পাঠক হয়তো বুঝতে পারছেন। ইংরেজির দূর্বলতা সাথে ইংরেজিতে ইন্টারনেটে কমিউনিকেশন করার অভ্যাস না থাকা। আমার সমান আয় হলে এই ১ লক্ষ ফ্রিল্যানসার প্রতিদিন ২০ কোটি টাকা আনতে পারত তখন। আমি জানি, অনেকে ফ্রিল্যান্সিং-এ আসছেন চাকরি না পেয়ে। বছরের পর বছর পরিশ্রম করলেন, লক্ষ লক্ষ টাকাও খরচ করলেন ডিগ্রীর জন্য। এখন ডিগ্রী চাকরি দিতে পারছেনা। দেশে ডিগ্রী বাড়ছে কিন্তু দক্ষতা বাড়ছে না। যেখানে দক্ষতা আছে সেখানে কাজও আছে। আপনার দক্ষতা থাকলে এখন টাকা না, ডলার আছে। কত ডলার চান? সেজন্য তৈরি হতে হবে, সময় দিতে হবে।”
আপনার সমান আয়ের কথা বাদই দেই । এখানে আরেক ফ্রিল্যানসার ফয়সালের থেকেও জানার আছে বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য । অন্তত তার মতো হলেও এই এক লক্ষ্ বাংলাদেশী ফ্রিল্যানসারের একেক জনের প্রতি মাসে ২০ হাজার টাকা আয় হতো তখন।

যার যার, তার তার – আপনি যা, তাই পাবেন !

সাজ্জাদ বলেন “এটা চরম সত্য এই জগতে। ফ্রিল্যানন্সিং মার্কেটের বিশালতা বোঝা কঠিন। তথ্য -গরিব মানুষের যা হয় আর কি! Payoneer-এর ঐ জরিপেই দেখায়, ২০১৫ সালে এক এক ফ্রিল্যানসার ঘন্টায় পায় ২১ ডলার, মানে ১,৬৮০টাকা। কোথায় আছেন? প্রচুর টাকা আছে, দেখিয়ে দিলাম। কিন্তু আপনার উপার্জন কি আমি করে দেব? Payoneer-এর এই রিপোর্টটি ডাউনলোড করে রাখবেন। কাজে দেবে।”
“ইন্টারনেটে ইংরেজিতে কমিউনিকেশনের দুর্বলতা থেকে বের হয়ে আসতে হবে। আমিও এই দলেই ছিলাম। কিন্তু এখন উপার্জনের জন্যই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করি। বিদেশী ক্লায়েন্টদের সাথে ডিল করি। প্রতিদিন অনলাইনে ইংরেজি পত্রিকা পড়ি। ১০ মার্চে রয়টার’স এর একটা নিউজ পড়ছিলাম। ঘটনাটা সবাই জানেন। নিচে পাঠকদের জন্য সেটা অনুবাদ করে দিলাম। ইংরেজি নিউজের লিংকও আছে। বাংলার সাথে ইংরেজিটাও দেখে নেবেন। ইংরেজিটা পড়ে বোঝার জন্য বলছি না। একটু দেখবেন। আর আমার বাংলা অনুবাদটা পড়বেন। আমি কেন আমার যোগ্যতা অনুযায়ী উপার্জন করতে পারছি, তা বুঝতে পারবেন। কবির স্যারই এমন করে বলা শিখিয়েছেন। যদি বলতাম, স্যার আপনার ক্রেডিট। উত্তরে একটাই কথা : তোমার যোগ্যতা। এখন আমিও গর্ব করে বলি, আমার যোগ্যতা।”
আপনার অনুবাদটি আমরা পড়ব। তার আগে আরেক ফ্রিল্যানসার ফয়সালের থেকে কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্য জানি। তিনি এখনই মাসে প্রায় ২০,০০০ টাকা উপার্জন করেন। নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসাররা কি ধরনের সমস্যায় পড়ে, এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন:“৩ টি সমস্যা খুবই প্রকট।”

ঝামেলা কি আরো বাড়লো? একজন বলে ১ টা, আরেকজন বলে ৩ টা ! 
“হ্যাঁ, এই ৩ সমস্যা ঐ ১ সমস্যা ঘিরেই:
১. তারা ক্লায়েন্টদের ইংরেজিতে লেখা ইমেল পড়তে পারে না;
২. ফ্রিল্যানসিং প্লাটফর্মগুলোতে একাউন্ট খোলার জন্য ঠিক মতো তথ্য দিতে পারে না;
৩. ডলার আনার মাধ্যম যেমন পেপল, নেটেলার, পেওনিআর ইত্যাদি একাউন্টে লেনদেন সংক্রান্ত কোনো ঝামেলা হলে তারা ইমেইল পাঠায়। সেই ইমেইল বুঝতে পারে না। একাউন্ট লক হয়ে যায়, সাসপেন্ড হয় ।”
“তখন উপায় না দেখে বেচারা নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসার ফেইসবুকের গ্রুপে পোস্ট দেয়। আমার একাউন্ট লক, কি করব? ডিসকভারি চ্যানেলের ডকুমেন্টারীর মতো- বন্য গরুর পাল নদী পার হচ্ছে। পানিতে কুমির। ডুব দিয়ে আছে। টার্গেট একটা বাচ্চা অথবা একটা দুর্বল গরু। অনভিজ্ঞ এই নতুন ফ্রিল্যানসার ফেইসবুকের গ্রুপে ওৎ পেতে থাকা কুমিরের খপ্পরে পড়ে। কুমির বলে, আমি এক্সপার্ট। দুই দিনেই সমাধান! ৫,০০০ টাকা লাগবে, বিকাশ করেন। ওহ! একাউন্ট খুলে যাবে, আবার ডলার আসবে! প্রতিদিন ‘এক’ ডলার ! আশাবাদী সেই বেচারার চোখ চকচকে হয়ে উঠে।”
“কিন্তু বিকাশ করার পর দেখে ওই নাম্বার বন্ধ। বার বার ফোন দেয়। শতবার। কিন্তু ফোন সেদিন একদমই বন্ধ। পরের দিন খুললেও রিসিভ করে না। মেসেজ। আকুতি। আপনার দেশের মানুষের সাথে এমন বেইমানি করবেন না। টাকা ফেরত দেন। না হলে আমার জীবনটা শেষ হয়ে যাবে! কিভাবে দেবে? কুমিরের পেটে তো সেটা হজম হয়ে গেছে!”
“তারপর সে ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে গ্রুপে আবার পোস্ট দেয়। তবে এবার অন্য কারণে। বলে, অমুক নাম্বারের অমুক বাটপারের সাথে কেও কোনো লেনদেন করবেন না। সে বুঝে না, কেন সে প্রতারিত হলো। ডলার আয়ের একাউন্টও লক। কোথায় যাবে সে? আরেক কুমিরের খপ্পরে পড়বে? এই কুমির আছে, অনেক আছে। নানাভাবে আছে আর বংশ বিস্তার করছে।”
ফয়সালের থেকে আরো একটি বিষয় জানার ছিল আমাদের। তারা যে ডলার আয় করে, তা তারা হাতে পায় কিভাবে? এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে তিনি বলেন , “পেপলে।” সবার জন্য একটু বিস্তারিত বলুন, পেপল থেকে ভাঙান কিভাবে? “ক্লায়েন্টরা আমাকে ডলার পাঠায়। আর সেই ডলার বিক্রি করে আমি টাকা নেই।” কোথায় বিক্রি করেন? “এখন আমার জন্য অনেক সহজ হয়েছে, যদিও প্রতারণার ফাঁদ সর্বত্র। ডলার লেনদেনে যারা ভুক্তভোগী, তারা এই ধরনের প্রতারণার কথা জানেন। ফেইসবুকে এমন অনেক বড় বড় গ্রুপ আছে যেখানে অ্যাডমিনরাই একটা প্রতারনার সিন্ডিকেট। শত শত মেম্বাররা তো নিয়মিত প্রতারণা করেই যাচ্ছে। আমাদের কোনো বিসব্স্ত, নির্ভর যোগ্য প্লাটফরম তৈরী হয় নাই। তাই প্রতারণাও বাড়ছে, প্রতারণাই পেশা হয়ে যাচ্ছে। আর যে মানুষটি দেশে ডলার আনতে পারত সে থেমে যাচ্ছে। এমনও হয়, সেও কুমির হয়ে যাচ্ছে। শুধু শুধু কেন কষ্ট করতে যাবে?”

এটা একটা কমন প্রশ্ন। এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে আমি বলব। এটা আপনার উপরে নির্ভর করে। তো চলুন ব্যাপারটা ক্লিয়ার করা জাক, একদম নতুন অবস্থায় আপনাকে আগে ঠিক করতে হবে, আপনি কি কাজ করবেন? কারন অনলাইনে হাজার হাজার  টাইপের  কাজ আছে।সেগুলা পরে বলছি।

প্রথমে আপনি ঠিক করে নেন কি কাজ করতে পারবেন,আপনার প্যাশনের সাথে  মিলে যায় এমন কাজ।তাহলেই আপনি মজা পাবেন কাজে।

এখন কি কাজ শিখেবন তা যদি ঠিক করে ফেলেন,তাহলে আর দারি না করে কাজে নেমে পড়ুন।
